Come and join our team to gain experience in Responsible Whale Watching!

The Volunteer Program is oriented for people that are planning to become a responsible whale watching guide or skipper, or a cetacean observer. Also, to get an initial insight of cetacean research fieldwork, and to gain boating experience. The program offers going 6 days per week out at sea on our boat during our whale watching tours, to get involved with our crew`s tasks, such us cetacean searching, data collection, guiding the tours, and gaining boating skills and maintenance. If the sea conditions do not allow for our tours to happen, then the work is at our volunteer´s apartment to work on fin photo ID.

Previous interview needed, and strict selection applies. We really want to choose respectful, motivated and hardworking volunteers that want to take the most of this program. We personalize the program to meet your goals and interest. We welcome you to share what we know,  to help you the best we can, to achieve the experience needed for your future endeavors. Work hours range from 3 to 8 hours per day. Minimum age 18 years, no exceptions. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, that can be arranged with accommodation or without. The beachfront apartment for accommodation is located in the marina, just 2 minute walk to our boat, and 1 minute away from Los Guios beach, The program is self-catering, the price does not include your meals.
